Irish National Stud & Gardens
The essential Kildare experience - allow 3-4 hours:

Kildare Town

The Curragh
Ireland's most famous racecourse, home of the Irish Derby since 1866. The surrounding plains are grazing commons for trainers' horses.
Newbridge
Home to the Newbridge Silverware Museum of Style Icons (Marilyn Monroe's dress, Princess Diana's belongings).
Punchestown
Another famous racecourse, known for the April Festival.
Naas
Kildare's county town with:

Castletown House
Just across the Liffey in north Kildare - Ireland's largest Palladian mansion (see Grand Canal route).

The Curragh plains are open - watch trainers' strings work out early morning.
Stud Visits
Most private studs don't allow casual visitors, but:
- Kildangan Stud (Godolphin) - Occasional open days

Book in advance for major meetings. Regular meetings are good value entertainment.
